Have you ever tried to read the ingredient list of your personal care products? I have, it’s like reading another language, and in some cases, yes, the ingredient is written in another language.
Here are my top 3 tips for understanding ingredient lists on personal care products:
Ingredients are listed in descending order. If the first ingredient listed is water, your product will contain anywhere from 65% to 80% water.
Botanicals are written in Latin and should have the common name in parenthesis, unfortunately, not all companies do this.

3. All other ingredients are actives, binders, fillers, thickeners, preservatives, solvents, fragrance, colorants, moisturizers, etc. This is where the toxins are hidden.
